Ramadan

Ramadan has just started for Muslims all over the world. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.

It is a very special month. During the blessed month of Ramadan, Muslims abstain from food, drink, smoking, sexual activities etc., from dawn to dusk. It is a month of spiritual activities: prayers, reading Quran, charity, self-control and forgiveness. This is a change in one’s lifestyle.

During the month of Ramadan, go on a “technology diet” meaning spending less time on Internet, TV, phone and entertainment. Instead make use of the extra time and opportunity to offer salat prayers, recite Quran and involve in charity activities. These will help you deal with the lifestyle change during Ramadan.
